  Created to celebrate the company's 80th anniversary, the Sennheiser MD 421 KOMPAKT 80th Limited Edition Microphone retains the same cardioid dynamic element and compact form factor as the standard black MD 421 KOMPAKT, delivering the trusted versatility and performance that has made the 421 a recording and broadcast staple. What sets this model apart is its distinctive vintage gray/cream finish, the same color scheme used on the very first MD 421 models introduced in 1953. Like the standard version, it features an updated mounting clip for easier positioning—especially on drum kits—and a low-profile design well-suited for podcasting. This configuration also includes the MZH drum clamp, allowing direct attachment to snare and tom rims.
